Fixing Auto Dent by Using a Hairdryer

  • Hair dryer
  • Heat- resistant gloves
  • Safety goggles
  • Computer duster spray (optional)

Step#1 – Heat the Affected Area

To start the process, simply take the hair dryer and start heating the affected area thoroughly. The dented area needs to be heated for about 20 to 30 seconds. You may also use a heat gun instead of a hairdryer to serve the purpose; however using a heat gun may cause some damage to the paint. While you heat the dent, do so in a continuous circular motion to ensure that the dented area is fully heated.

Step#2 – Spray the Dented Area with Computer Duster (optional)

As soon as you have heated the affected area, you may immediately spray computer duster on the dented area. This step is optional and you can also recover the dented area without the spray, however, if you choose to perform the step make sure you hold the spray bottle upside down and while wearing gloves as this will cause the release of super cold CO2.

Step#3 – Push the Dented Area Outward

In case you have used computer duster spray, you just need to sit and relax and wait for the sound of metal popping as the dent recovers itself in just a few seconds. However, if you do not use the spray for dent release, you should simply push the dent out from the behind the dented area using your hands. You can easily push it back to normal shape.
